The Principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine
for EFT Practitioners

In Emotional Freedom Techniques we combine the use of language with tapping on meridian points. EFT is thus like a bridge between the talk therapies and the touch therapies, especially those touch therapies derived from the traditional chinese understandings of energy and health.   Many of us come to EFT from a talk therapy background and have a good understanding of human communication, language and the psychology of how people hold problems. 

This workshop is designed to introduce you to the other side of the bridge, the body and energy side of the bridge by teaching the holistic fundementals of chinese mind-body medicine and a simple approach to the use of flower essences with the aim of making your work with EFT more effective.

By the end of the workshop you will:

• understand basic five element theory of traditional chinese medicine
   

• be able to explain what the meridian system is and understand how energy flows around the body and organs

• understand the properties of the five elements and tapping points in terms of behaviour and emotions.
   

• be able to look for the causal trauma of a person's presenting symptoms

• learn how to enhance your EFT work with relevant flower essences in a simple, practical way.

Stephen Hunter and Gwyneth Moss

Stephen Hunter is a well-established acupuncturist and flower essence practitioner.  He has successful practices in the towns of Ilkley and Skipton in Yorkshire and has taught and mentored acupunture students for many years at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York.  An engaging presenter Stephen has a down to earth, direct and often humourous style.  He has worked together with Gwyneth Moss EFT Master, to develop this workshop to further the knowledge and understanding of EFT students and practitioners. 

Gwyneth Moss EFT Master.  Featured on Gary Craig's Mastering EFT DVD set she is known for her intelligent common sense and clear explanations of EFT concepts.  As well as developing EFT Innovations such as EFT Imagineering and Protective Distancing Gwyneth runs regular EFT training workshops and is the motivating force behind EFT Events.  She has found that the understanding of the five elements of traditional chinese medicine and the use of flower essences gained from working with Stephen have enriched her EFT practice.

The Meridian Energy workshop is open to all who are interested in or curious about understanding how the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine apply to EFT tapping techniques.  You do not have to be an EFT Practitioner to attend, you simply have to be curious (and skeptical is ok too). However, it is suggested that you are already familiar with the basics of Emotional Freedom Techniques.  If you need instruction see EFT training.  EFT Practitioners attending gain 12 hours CPD and will learn how to use Flower Essences in combination with EFT.
