Ilkley: How To Get There - Travel Information
Ilkley is 15 miles to the North West of Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK
(about half way between London and Edinburgh)
and is easy to reach by Rail, Road or Air

Directions for walking from Ilkley Rail Station: Exit the station on the Platform 1 side and walk to the left. At the mini roundabout, after about 50 metres, take the first right Cowpasture Road which leads up the hill and is signed to Cow and Calf rocks. Craiglands Hotel is 5-10 minutes walk on the right opposite the Ilkley Grammer School. Turn to the right at the Craiglands sign and take the footpath into the grounds.
There are frequent trains to Ilkley from Leeds which take 25 minutes. See www.nationalrail.co.uk for train times and ticket purchase. Trains to Ilkley on the Wharf Valley Line stop in Menston, Guiseley, Burley in Wharfedale and Ben Rhydding and it is an option to stay at B&Bs close to these stations or to stay at Leeds City Centre hotels close to the railway station.
Leeds-Bradford International airport has daily flights from most UK regional airports and many European cities. Ilkley is about ten miles (16km) from the airport and there is a shuttle to the rail link to Ilkley or you can take a taxi to Craiglands.
